Pet Fees
Fees vary by hotel. Hilton’s standard pet-friendly policy (at Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand) is a $75 per stay pet fee (per pet) for up to 2 pets . However, fees can range up to about $125 (especially for longer stays) . Most fees are non-refundable. (Other Hilton brands like Home2 Suites, Embassy Suites, etc., also typically charge a one-time fee in the ~$50–$125 range, varying by property.)
Weight Limits
Commonly 75 lbs per pet is the weight limit at Hilton hotels . (This is a typical standard, though some Hilton-family properties may set different limits or make exceptions. Many pet-friendly Hiltons allow dogs up to about 75 lbs; a few may accommodate larger dogs with manager approval.)
Breed Restrictions
No broad breed restrictions. Hilton does not impose chain-wide breed bans – both dogs and cats are allowed . (Individual hotels may have restrictions against certain aggressive breeds or behaviors, but there isn’t an official breed prohibition across the brand.)

Types of Pets Permitted
Dogs and cats are welcome at Hilton. Officially Hilton’s pet policy covers dogs and cats (often referred to as “four-legged guests”) . Other types of pets are generally not permitted, with the exception of service animals.
Required Documentation

Pets must be kept on leash in public areas. They are not allowed in certain areas such as dining venues, pools, or spas. Hilton’s policy generally expects pets not to be left unattended in your room – or if they are, they should be crated and the hotel notified (policies on unattended pets can vary by property, so check ahead). Any disturbances (like persistent barking) could result in the hotel requiring the pet to be removed .

In 2021, Hilton partnered with Mars Petcare to roll out enhanced pet-friendly programming, and now ~80% of Hilton’s properties are pet-friendly (focused mainly in brands like Home2 Suites, Embassy Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton, Tru, Canopy, etc. ). Always verify individual hotel policy, as a minority of Hilton brands/properties remain non-pet-friendly. Service animals are exempt from fees. Many Hilton-family hotels will provide a pet waiver to sign at check-in and have local pet-friendly information available.
