Kenneth KoppJanuary 4, 2025Great info, thx! If arriving from the US via private vessel which will take longer than 10 days, is there an extension possible for the date of the health certificate? If we stopped in the USVI and had a vet issue a certificate there first, would this satisfy the requirement? Thanks
[Susan](https://wagsandwanders.com)January 7, 2025Kenneth -if your ship’s log does not reflect any intermediate ports between your departure from the US and arrival in St Barts, then the HC will be accepted. If you stop in USVI, then a vet there should issue a new certificate.[[[Reply](#comment-458)](#comment-14)](#comment-11)Sharen[March 6, 2025](https://www.wagsandwanders.com/information/pet-passports/saint-barthelemy-pet-import-requirements/comment-page-1/#comment-458)Hello,If my husband and I, along with our dog, flies from JFK – NY into San Juan, then San Juan (maybe through Tradewind Aviation) to St. Barts, we don’t need an import permit?
